To be completely transparent, it was killing my body--eyesight, back and neck problems, and seizures. I have epilepsy, and while I am medicated, breakthrough seizures can happen due to strobes and florescent lights anyway. I was also spending too much time away from my kids and realized just how much of their lives I had been missing. That being said, I do still offer courthouse elopements and wedding attire sessions.

HELL YES! Thanks to my Dad, I have a deep love of travel. I'm not sure if my swanderlust (see what I did there?) will ever be fully satisfied. I want to document as much love in in as many parts of the world that I can. I'm dual based in Albuquerque (will travel for green chile) and my passport could always use more stamps. My camera has brought me to Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, Utah, California, Oregon, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii, and all over Texas. If I had to pick one place as a bucket list location, I would pick Finland; maybe Tampere, Helsinki, or Lapland.

Not to be cliche, but I've had a camera in my hands as long as I can remember. My dad would take my sisters and I on grand adventures, like to New Orleans and Washington D.C., that I would document on those little disposable film cameras. When I was a junior in high school, I photographed my sister's senior portraits. From there I fell in love with portraiture. After school, I moved to Dallas and worked in the JCPenney Portrait Studio (RIP Valley View Mall). A couple came in for their engagement session and loved their images so much, they asked if I shot weddings. Me being a broke college kid said, "Of course I do!" I shot my first wedding January 1, 2011 and the rest is history! My Dad, who was always my biggest cheerleader, passed after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's in October 2020. He didn't recognize me those last few years, but his memory will live on through images I will cherish the rest of my life.

I require a 50% non-refundable retainer to book and hold your date. The remaining 50% balance is due the day of the session. For courthouse weddings, the retainer is 25% non-refundable and the balance is due no later than 30 days before your wedding. If you're booking your courthouse wedding fewer than 30 days before the wedding date, the full balance is due at the time of booking.

No, travel expenses are not included. Travel fees are based on distance and travel time.
